Wedding Photography style and other Bride & Groom questions

What’s your Photography Style?

It’s a mix of informal and formal photography shot with creativity and as unobtrusively as possible.

Couples often ask two initial questions when they first email or call me.

What is the price? & Are you available?

Pricing is a natural first question as costs are important. So it’s only natural to start off with prices as it’s the common denominator for all of us Photographers. The pricing although important is maybe not all its about. Your photographer spends the full day with you and its important that person is one you trust and are comfortable with.

If pricing is a priority why not consider the minimum time of 4 Hours? Starting at €1200 for 4 hours and continue the length of coverage on an hourly rate of €300 per hour to suit your day and budget. As most Irish weddings are rarely less than an eight hour day and often exceed 12 hours you can book a package from the bridal preparations up to the Reception meal or the First Dances with or without an album, the choice is yours. Let me know what you would like and I will send you a quote.

Meanwhile, here are some of the most popular questions I get asked and if your questions aren’t here drop me a line and I will be happy get back to you.

Yes. As a Photographer I have worked full time on wedding Photography and Video since 2007. I trained as a fine artist (B.A. Hons Degree & a Masters in Fine Art). I trained as both a Photographer and a Filmmaker so I am very comfortable with professional equipment. Creativity is important to me and I love shooting weddings and feel privileged to be asked by our clients. I am relaxed and enjoy working with individuals and are unfazed by large wedding groups.

Yes. As a professional Photographer I only commit to a client when we both agree on the terms and conditions. A contract is designed to protect both you and me the wedding professional. Never settle for a verbal agreement that won’t hold up in court. All clients sign a contract with me before their wedding is confirmed. This ensures you know all the timelines of your wedding day, the service provided and the post production process. All the details of your chosen package are clearly defined and is a clear peace of mind for my clients.

Yes we always carry back-up cameras just in case

We use HD cameras that operate very well in low light conditions. We never use lights in the church and we sometimes use a discreet led camera light if the venue is too dark for video during the speeches.

Yes I arrive wearing suitable wedding wear and fit in with your guests. Don’t worry I don’t wear bright or loud casual and never wear inappropriate wedding wear!

I normally stay until the start of the reception meal and can stay longer by booking as many hours as you need. I can also be booked hourly to suit your days timings.

I will have your personal online gallery available within 2 weeks of your wedding day. Your gallery is password protected and you can download your proof images directly from the gallery.

Certainly. Let me know a couple of weeks ahead just so I can plan your day and be fully prepared.

Yes. Booking your date is more important as weekend dates are first to be booked in advance. Some clients book a couple of years ahead.
